This kind of laser engravers come in different sizes and the strength of most diode laser units are 1000 mw and a couple of watt. Because I wanted to make a nice and deep engraving of my logo in wooden work pieces I went for the 3000mw laser unit. It can engrave an area of 85 by 85 mm.
After experiences with other Chinese products I had assumed this laser engraver would take a couple of hours of studying YouTube tutorials and downloading drivers to get it working. But to my surprise it was delivered with a well written manual and even a instruction video. After plugging in some cables and tightening four small screws I got the laser engraving make it first engravings. This was only twenty minutes after the unboxing. Not bad.
With some tweaking of the software parameters the 3000 mw engravings started to look really good. The 80 by 80 mm MBcreates logo at 4:05 in the video came out perfect.
