Fitting a Laser to my Home Built CNC Router.

Around 12 months ago I decided it would make a nice addition to my CNC Router to be able to do some LASER cutting, marking and engraving. I first purchased a solid state diode Laser from a Chinese store on eBay. This got me started and proved to me that adding Laser capabilities to my CNC would prove to be very beneficial. The Chinese laser failed so I went investigating and found the company Endurance had a good range of Diode Lasers. This company also had a strong following of users plus a lot of supporting videos and a good Face Book community that go out of their way to help users. So this video is an introduction into why and how I adapted a Laser to my CNC Router.
It will be followed up by a second video covering various tests I ran using the Endurance 8Watt Laser I purchased. In that video I will cover things like cutting Acrylic, Wood, etc plus marking and engraving Wood, Stainless Steel, Anodized Aluminum etc.
I apologise that it is not a definitive tutorial detailing exactly how to integrate a Laser on a CNC Router, but more a story of the background of why and what is possible with a Home Built CNC.
I hope you find this video informative.
