I have been flattening this Macrocarpa slab on my KEW 8×4 CNC machine, the carbide inserts really made light work of this soft wood and made some lovely big shavings, it also smells amazing, I thinknyou could get away woth doing 6mm or even more withbthsi but I keep to 3/4 to be safe.
