A tiny CNC Lathe spinning up to full speed!

I’ve been working on a scratchbuilt tiny CNC lathe for the past few months and I thought I would share this milestone. While I have advanced well past this at the present time, it was very exciting when I first got the spindle running using G Code – this is it maxing out around 7000RPM. The lathe, which still remains nameless, has now been outfitted with clearpath servo motors instead of stepper motors, as well as limit switches, cable management, most of an enclosure, and some other fun plans. There’s going to be itty-bitty sliding doors. You can follow the build on instagram at www.instagram.com/hlaps1990 , though I am hoping to move more to Youtube as I get more to show!
