Thanks to wire eroders aligned with Industry 4.0, it’s lights out running for N&E Precision. Tom Skubala of MTDCNC interviews Eamon Farrell and Donal Logan of N&E to find out why they purchased three MITSUBISHI wire eroders from ETG. With only 3 days of training to get going, the switch from milling to EDM brought improved speed, better surface finish, and less cuts to achieve crazy tolerances on different parts. Because of a multi part system, N&E are now running 24/7, as the machine finishes one job and goes to the next to deliver complete parts overnight! Donal explains how easy it’s become for N&E to machine complex parts like tiny nozzles, odd-shaped slotted parts, and medical device bearings. Having on the ground service from ETG in Ireland is a huge advantage for N&E, based in Longford. Watch the video to find out how parts fit together like a jigsaw with the MITSUBISHI wire EDM from ETG.
Set up by two brothers in 2005, N&E specialise in the aerospace, medical device, pharmaceutical, automotive, general engineering, and food industries with their work in 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining, turning, mill-turn, and sliding head work.
