This knife is made of c45, It’s not knife steel, but this was the only material available in excess, but it nevertheless brought the desired hardness and toughness at the same time!
The handle is made of hard acacia and fixed with copper pins.
The knife shape was cut by an EDM machine, resulting in very high precision. then it was cleaned and cut to size with a fine grinder for sharpening.
When the surface was ready, we started sharpening, maybe this took the longest, it wasn’t the easiest task
After hardening and tempering, the handle was finally glued, there were minor mistakes here, I should have shaped the radius of the hole before gluing, but luckily I was able to solve it with a chisel. Then I sanded off the remaining spots
and using cold bluing liquid.
