Welcome to my channel, Today I’m making wood earrings as a Valentine’s Day gift for My wife using my Onefinity CNC. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I wanted to do something special for my wife. So, I decided to make her a pair of beautiful wooden earrings since she loves wood jewelery.
In this video, you’ll get to watch me as I take on this project. I’ll be walking you through each step of the process. This isn’t a tutorial, but rather a chance to see the creative process in action.
I’ll start by selecting the right piece of wood for the earrings. I’ve chosen a beautiful piece of American smoke wood, because it is from our last home. Then, I’ll show you how I set up the CNC machine, including how to set the bit height and choose the appropriate cutting speed.
I’ve chosen a simple spiral shape for the earrings, with a small circular cutout in the center. I created this design using Vectric CAD software, and then I uploaded it to the CNC machine.
Next, I’ll begin the cutting process. This can be a little nerve-wracking, but it turned out well. You’ll get to see the CNC machine in action, carving out the wooden earrings with precision and speed.
After the cutting is done, it’s time to sand and finish the earrings. I’ll walk you through the sanding process, which involves using a variety of grits to get the wood smooth and ready for finishing. Then, I’ll show you how to apply a protective coating to the earrings, which will not only make them look great but also keep them in good condition for years to come.
Throughout the video you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the process of creating a unique and meaningful gift for someone special.
So, if you’re looking for some inspiration for Valentine’s Day, or just want to see how CNC machines can be used to create beautiful wooden earrings, then be sure to watch this video. Don’t forget to subscribe to my channel for more woodworking and CNC machining content!
