System 3R Ruler System Introduction for Wire EDM.
This is an instructional video to show how a System 3R Ruler 3R-239-565 can be set up in the Wire EDM machine. It is clamped to the dovetail reference strips with Ruler Clamps 3R-A239.1 or directly to the table with 3R-A239. The longer zero-line support tabs 3R-239.26 and short zero-line supports 3R-239.22 help to hold the workpiece. Care must be taken to avoid clamps below the zero-line. The Ruler vice 3R-239.1 is a very versatile tool to clamp the workpiece onto the ruler. One vice is recommended for squared parts weighing 15kg (33 pounds) or less. It is recommended to use 2 rulers and 2 vices for workpieces up to 200 kg (440 pounds). The vice is to be tightened with 3R-914-10L torque wrench (8Nm). System 3R also offers an EconoRuler set 3R-209-LLL – where LLL is the length in mm.
