Testing inexpensive CNC machine Genmitsu PROVerXL 4030 / Sainsmart. Is it possible to make inlay?

We have received questions on could an inexpensive CNC machine be capable of making inlay cutting boards?

Our friends over at Sainsmart provided us their new machine to test this idea.

In this video, we are testing the Sainsmart PROVerXL 4030 benchtop CNC ( https://shrsl.com/2jzcl ) configured with a Dewalt DWP611 router ( https://amzn.to/2SOFV1I ).

The answer is definitely yes!
Inlay’s can be made on an inexpensive machine like the PROVerXL . However, like all equipment, one should carefully approach the choice of machine they purchase, and based on their technical needs and recognize there will be initial setup that can require specific skills to get the best results.

The PROverXL is well suited for a small workshop and smaller projects with its 400 x 300mm work area.
