This Gerber Sabre model 408 cnc router is recently-upgraded with a brand-new control system including AC servo motors, drives, and cabling. This makes it ready to keep running for the next who-knows-how-many years without being a pain in your duff (FYI: Gerber machines are workhorses that last and last).
The 7.5HP Perske high frequency spindle is ruggedly-built and can withstand a lot of cutting force. That makes it ready to do just about any work you put in front of it. Here in our shop, we have successfully cut 1 inch thick 6061 aluminum plate on it without a hiccup.
The following items on this machine are all new:
– new AC servo motors
– new servo drives
– new motor and encoder cables
– new control backplane with Windows-based cnc control & power supplies
It includes a used Dell All-in-one computer (in good condition) with Windows 10 and a touchscreen interface to the control. This makes the machine easy and enjoyable to use.
The machine has some “road wear” in the form of cosmetic defects (see front cosmetic cover). That means you don’t have to worry about scratching the paint. No worries necessary, just put the thing to work in your shop and watch the money roll in!

The machine is under power and can be inspected at our facility in LaFayette, Georgia, USA. If you buy this machine, you won’t have to be alone without support to help you get started. You can get training on-site when you pick the machine up. Or, if we ship the machine to you, we can train you via videoconference and remote desktop support applications. Many of our customers find this gives them peace of mind and helps them stave off the initial jitters getting started in cnc.
