PTM has 5 Fanuc wire EDM machines which are use in the construction of components for our stamping dies. EDM machines create an electrical discharge between the wire or electrode and the work piece. As the spark jumps across the gap material is removed from both the workpiece and the wire. A non conductive fluid is used to prevent the process from shorting out.
